Bell Ringer Tasks From Pat Fiedler, a business education teacher at Orange Park High School in Orange Park, Florida: "To maximize learning time in my classroom, I have a pen velcroed to each desk. To start the class, I have a bell ringer task on the overhead and a small piece of paper on each desk so when the students come in they can get right to work without having to dig around in their backpacks for paper and pens. They have five minutes to complete the task while I take roll and attend to other administrative matters. I collect the papers, tell them the correct answers and we're on the way to being productive."
